Foundation of St. Petersburg. Foundation of the Russian Empire.

This time in the style of mid 18th century French school- especially that of Alexander Roslin, with a dash of 19th century Romanticism as well. Much closer to what I envisioned Peter to be, and his combination of ambition and sense of destiny. The effect was also exactly what I devilishly wished it to be, something that at a glance would have been thought to have been made in the 18th century, until my quizzical little anachronistic logo was noticed.
